Mr Kinner Davda BMedSci (Hons), BMBS, MRCS (Eng), MD (Res), FRCS (Tr&Orth)
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Kinner Davda is a double fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in all aspects of foot and ankle disorders. His private practice is based at The Chiltern Hospital and Shelburne Hospital, and his NHS practice based at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals.
Kinner trained on the North West Thames Registrar rotation and was based primarily at St. Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, one of four Major Trauma Centres in London. He trained with some of the UK’s foremost surgeons in foot and ankle surgery, as well as lower limb reconstruction. Further experience was gained in treating complex foot and ankle conditions at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, an international centre of excellence and national tertiary referral centre. He proceeded to broaden his experience on fellowship in Windsor, The Royal Surrey County and Frimley Hospitals, and thereafter a year at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford.
Kinner has a broad foot and ankle practice; seeing patients with various ailments including arthritis, sports injuries, childhood conditions as well as all aspects of fractures and trauma. He aims to provide evidence-based care and management of his patients. He is part of two regional groups of over 20 foot and ankle surgeons that meet regularly to discuss difficult and complex cases. This ensures the opinions on management and treatment of challenging and uncommon cases can be sought from fellow experts and highly experienced colleagues.
Prior to registrar training, Kinner completed a MD (Res) postdoctoral thesis in computer aided and robotic Orthopaedic surgery at Imperial College, London. This was under the mentorship and guidance of world leading experts in their field, Professor Justin Cobb and Professor Alistair Hart. He has published in high impact Orthopaedic journals and presented at international meetings throughout his career.
Kinner is a keen teacher and regularly lecturer, training surgeons on the consultant FRCS exam courses, as well as foot and ankle society seminars. He is an honorary senior lecturer to medical students at the University of Buckingham, and musculoskeletal block lead for Orthopaedic education at Bucks NHS Trust.
Kinner enjoys cooking, reading and fitness in his spare time. He can be found cycling through The Chilterns most Sunday mornings, or in the gym in the wee hours during the week. He lives in Northwood, North West London, with his pharmacist wife and two very energetic children.
